It's hard work, but If you're not interested there are always cheats and console commands. What better way to conquer the sprawling sandbox of the Minecraft world than opening the command bar, typing in some words and symbols and then transforming yourself into an adorable clippy-cloppy pony sporting diamond armour? A console command is more than an arbitrary string. They can change the world in a matter of seconds from killing all enemies within your reach to instantly melting all the metals in your inventory. Some might call this cheating however we see it as simply saving time and allowing you to focus on your fantastic Minecraft project. How do you enter Minecraft commands? Luckily, Minecraft console commands are wonderfully simple to use; they're as easy as entering Minecraft seeds. When you're creating a brand new Minecraft world you'll be prompted to choose whether or not to allow cheating. After selecting yes and loading up the world, you'll need to hit the C key to pull up the command bar, which is where you'll input all of your cheats and commands. Forward slash (/); multiplayer commands must be prefixed to any command. It's as easy as entering the desired command in the text box and hitting the Enter key. Minecraft cheats and console commands Target selector shortcuts @p: the closest player @r: random player; all players @e = all entities @s. The entity that executes the command. Target selector variables permit you to define a particular target without having to type their full name. Below are five different shorthand commands. You'll soon be used to seeing these when playing on the best Minecraft servers. Help /help [CommandName] Gives you more details about the command you're given. Give/give [Amount] Used to give another player an item from your inventory. Example for a given example: /give PCGamesN minecraft:planks 13. This will give PCGamesN 13 Spruce Wood Planks. This command is more suitable for single objects, however it is useful for stackable objects. Teleport /tp [TargetPlayer] to immediately transfer you or another user to a specific place anywhere in the world. The coordinates can be replaced by the name of another player to move the target directly. You can also teleport into a new world by using these Minecraft maps. Kill/kill kills your character, adding another player's name will apply the command to them. Weather/weather WeatherType allows you to choose the weather or the world. You have the option to choose between thunder, rain or snow. Creative mode/gamemode creative Changes the gamemode to Creative mode which allows player flight unlimited resources and also prevents mobs from attacking you. Survival mode /gamemode survival Changes the gamemode to Survival mode, which means that mobs will attack you and you'll have to gather all resources the old-fashioned way. Set time/time set 1000 Sets the time to day. Replace 1000 with 0 for dawn, 6000 for midday, 12000 for dusk and 18000 for night. Change difficulty to Peaceful/difficulty peaceful. Changes difficulty to Peaceful/difficulty peaceful. For more difficulty, replace peaceful by easy, normal, or hard. How do you locate your world's seed code/seed This will produce a code for your world. Note it down to be able to load up an identical one in the future. Keep your inventory in case you die /gamerule keepInventory true Ensures you don't lose your belongings after dying. This can be reversed by typing false instead of true. Stop time/gamerule donDaylightCycle true This will cause the game's day and light cycles to cease and let you live in permanent sunlight or moonlight. Bwbf To start the day/light cycle again, type in /gamerule doDaylightCycle true. Summon /summon Instantly drops the desired creature or object into you world. This is especially helpful for those who aren't big on Ocelots that can be tamed. Atlantis mode/atlantis Dramatically raises the world's water level and submerges all except the highest mountains. Ride/ride turns the creature you're facing into an animal. Instant mine /instantmine One-click mining with any tool. Freeze/freeze stops mobs from moving away. Fall damage/falldamage turns fall damage on and off. Fire damage/firedamage Turns on or off the fire damage Water damage or water damage is turned on and off Superheat/Smelt item turns all objects into smelted form. Instant plant/instantplant There is no need to wait for a seed to develop. Dropstore/Store Items All inventory items are kept in a chest that appears close to. Item damage /itemdamage Weapons do not sustain damage or become degraded. Duplicate/duplicate copies and drop the item stack you have equipped.
